Erfurt
Erfurt is the largest city and Thuringia and also the province capital. The city has really many sights to offer, but what I liked most is that some great parts of the old town are fully pedestrian. There are several large squares (Anger, Domplatz, Fischmarkt) and a wonderful bridge with shops from both sides – Kraemerbruecke. Around the town there are many nice old churches and other great buildings like the town hall or the tower of Paulus. Actually Erfurt is a really great city and really deserves to be a capital of this wonderful province. [more] |
