Figueras - general information
One day trip I would suggest you would make if you are staying in Girona and craving some more culture would be a trip to Figueras. Since it is only 30 minutes by train from Girona you will not waste a lot of time on travel and it will give you plenty of time to explore both Salvador Dali’s museum and walk around Figueras. Since the trains run hourly you can work out an itinerary relatively easy. Again I would recommend going early to make most of the day and avoid the sweltering heat if you are visiting in the summer.
