Church: Frauenburg Cathedral 4 stars

The first sign that a great monument was going to be built in Frambork was an ecclesiastic fortress called Castrum Domine Nostrae. Even though the construction of today’s Cathedral started in 1329, it took 6 decades to finish. The result was indeed a sight to see. The Gothic Cathedral stands tall today and the sharp pointed towers seem to bring it even closer to God. Inside the echo is the first thing you notice. It was winter when I visited the Frauenburg Cathedral and it was very cold inside. The brick walls seemed a never ending red church. The atmosphere was still, there were only a few people that were moved around. The obvious love for the Patron Mother Mary gave the place a feeling of serenity.
