Gent - a must see!
Gent is probably the most wonderful Belgian town I saw. I liked it more than Brussels, more than Antwerpen, Brugge or Liege. Maybe it is because of its thousands of tourist attractions or because of its marvelous old architecture, or its 16-th century atmosphere. The cathedral, the belfry in front of it, two small castles, many channels around, some other beautiful old churches and everything looks so magnificent. Important note: - the main train station of the city is quite far from the city center, so you would probably need a bus to reach it. [more] |
