The Imminent Concentration
Ghaziabad in the recent years has grown in significance due to the adoption of a lot of initiatives on the part of the Government that has made this sprawling area into a hotbed of elevated business activities. I have an old personal relation with this city and to be very precise my first job was in this city for a time period of 8 years at a stretch. Though the city was not like the present yet its serenity still makes me reminisce of the bygone years. Nowadays, in the realm of national periphery it is one of fast growing Industrial town of North India situated about 1.5 km from the Hindon River. Its strategic position is that it is bounded in the north by Meerut and on the south by Bulandshahar. Moreover being positioned in Western Uttar Pradesh it is close to Delhi at present has more than 14000 small, medium and large industrial units scattered all over the city. So if you go for the first time and live in any part of India that is still in the path of development in industrial activities you will be able to ascertain the stark difference. The city is above all an industrial center with manufacturers in railway coaches, diesel engines, electroplating, bicycles, picture tubes, tapestries, glassware, pottery, vegetable oil, paint and varnish, heavy chains, automobile pistons & rings, steel pharmaceuticals, liquor, etc.
But much more than that, though I was never a part of this stratum, it is also a dwelling to the imminent posh localities that have contributed greatly in changing the face of the city changed from a sluggish, obscure industrial town to a modern glamorous looking suburb of Delhi. The city in the year 2006 was featured in Newsweek Top 10 most dynamic cities in the world.
To have a glimpse of the changing face of India, depicted through this city the best time to visit is from October to March. The city is also well linked and lots of projects in the infrastructure are coming up in accordance with the changing reality. The nearest airport is the Delhi Airport and the nearest railway station is the Ghaziabad Junction.
