Hampi: Exploring by intuition
Hampi is like a different land and that’s what makes it unique besides the ancient temple structures and ruins that adorn it. While most tourists prefer to take a guide, I would recommend exploring the area alone and preferably on your own two legs. For longer distances one could hire a motorcycle or bicycle. Any local will be able to direct you in the general direction of an interesting shrine. The best way to get around is to scale the rocks and take the wobbly, round corical boats when you meet the river.
