Australia - Tasmania - Hobart Botanical Gardens
Looking for a nice cheap way to spend an afternoon in Hobart, then head to the botanical gardens. You don't have to pay to get in and they are a nice peaceful haven away from the city. The nicest way to get there is to ditch the car/bus and walk there across the soldiers walk, starting outside the Aquatic Centre. It's only about a 20 minute walk across a very minor hill and the tree-lined soldiers park is very pretty. There is a nice Cafe in the Botanical Gardens with lots of seating on a covered balcony over looking the grounds. It's the cheapest place to have luch but it's certainly a lovely spot for coffee.
