CROATIA - HVAR TOWN
On my day trip to Hvar (from Split) I chose to go to Hvar Town which was one pound 80p each way on the bus and took about 20 minutes. If you can try and get a seat on the left hand side of the bus on the way there and the right hand side on the way back. It’s a stunning journey! It’s another place that I wish I hadn’t rushed as a day trip. There are some lovely hotels and B&Bs on the island and it would be quite easy to spend a few days here. There’s a little market in the centre of town but if that all seems a bit too commercial, you’ll find old women plonked down on walls, benches and gardens making lace tablecloths, baby clothes and pretty much anything you ask for.
