Info about Moomin Valley and other local attractions
Tampere is a nice city not too far from Helsinki. My main reason for going here was to visit moomin valley! This is a museum dedicated to the animation by Tove Jansson. Unfortunately you are not allowed to take photographs inside here but it really is a magical place and not just for children! You follow the museum around as it tells a story. It's very dark inside with all the moomin models lit up as you go. There is also a gift shop next door where you can buy a vast array of moomin souvenirs! Tampere also has the Lenin museum.
