A start of a long holiday.
I headed on to the sand to surprise him and sure enough I had a perfect opportunity to do just that. He was there looking through some binoculars at the bay as I tapped him on the shoulder. He couldn’t believe his eyes as we had only joked about this happening the previous morning. Sure enough we enjoyed that late afternoon drink on the beach just and watched the famous Ios sunset. In the end I had a very enjoyable 6 weeks on the island, but that’s though that’s another story altogether. However, it was my adventure getting there that remains one of the most memorable part.
