Mounds State Park
Mounds State Park is a really wonderful little park. I stress little, because it is much smaller than most state parks are. But it’s still great if you enjoy hiking. The park trails pass directly next to the White River. It’s beautiful in the autumn season as all the leaves are falling from the trees. They have 5 trails to choose from, but the focal point is at the center. The Mounds themselves are ancient ceremonial mounds. This is a fun one to take kids to, because they will learn a lot.
