In the end I had a nice couple of weeks on the island, and my home from home was, with hindsight, a real gem. In spite of a rocky start I had certainly fallen on my feet. I am quite sure that with more perseverance and with an unlimited budget I would have been able to find something more readily...

Since this was a charter flight they also told me that the plane could be overbooked and so I was advised to go to the airport early. I duly noted all the limitations, but the flight-only price was such a bargain that I though I couldn’t go wrong! I booked a flight which departed at around 6pm...
